'Purushothamudu': Can this film save Raj Tarun's weak career?

Raj Tarun's career has been on the death bed. Post pandemic, he has been almost forgotten by the audience. He has now pinned hopes on a family drama titled 'Purushothamudu', whose Teaser suggests that the film can't be written off.

To be sure, the film seems to boast of decent production values. Usually, Raj Tarun's movies don't feature noted character artists. This film, though, is different. Prakash Raj, Murali Sharma and Ramya Krishna are playing crucial roles. Comedian Brahmanandam, too, is part of the cast.

And this is also the first Raj Tarun film in years to have been made by solid technicians: Cinematographer PG Vinda, music director Gopi Sunder and editor Marthand K Venkatesh.

Producers Dr. Ramesh Tejawat and Prakash Tejawat are planning to release the film on June 6 if everything goes well as per their plans. Also featuring Raja Ravindra, Brahmaji and Praveen, 'Purushothamudu' targets the family audience, a segment that has stopped visiting theatres unless something really exciting is on offer.
