Speaking at the pre-release event of Brahma Anandam on Tuesday, Chiranjeevi said that the right release date and promotions are quintessential for the marketing of a film, which heads to theatres on February 14.
"I wanted to use my goodwill for the benefit of Brahmanandam's movie. Over-exposure to the media won't reduce my glamour. Brahmanandam is like my family member," Chiru said, recalling his early days with the comedian. It was Chiru who spotted him and encouraged him alongside the likes of Jandhyala. "Brahmanandam is such a fabulous acting talent. I just became an ambassador for his talent. He holds a Guinness Book record, he is a Padma awardee," Chiru said.
Chiru added, "Director RVS Nikhil is a young filmmaker. Young filmmakers know the pulse of the audience. I also wish producer Rahul Nakka all the best. Raghu Babu, Vennela Kishore, Rajeev Kanakala and others are included in the cast. These are amazing artists. I have the fullest freedom with Brahmanandam. I am here for this event even though he hadn't invited me. This film, Brahma Anandam, will bring him Putrotsaham." The film has Brahmi's son, Raja Goutham, in the lead role.
Vennela Kishore said, "I enjoyed a lot dubbing for the movie. Acting alongside Priya Vadlamani, Aishwarya and others was a breeze. It's a great inspiration to act with Brahmanandam garu. Brahma Anandam is so violence-free and neat that you will see Rajeev Kanakala garu till the rolling credits."
Brahmanandam said that the film tells the story of a wayward grandfather and an arrogant grandson. "When they come together, they come of age and it is so beautiful. Brahma Anandam is up for a Valentine's Day release. Love needn't just be romantic. It is universal. It can be between a grandfather and his grandson. After watching the movie, I can claim with honesty that it deserves to be watched in theatres. The lead role in this film was actually offered to Vennela Kishore. He suggested that Raja Goutham be cast as my grandson. Sandilya is a music director of a high standard," Brahmi said. The comedian hailed Chiranjeevi to the skies, saying that he is a 'Karana Janmudu'.
