Megastar Chiranjeevi's comments about his desperate wish to see Ram Charan give birth to a baby boy have sparked online outrage. Speaking at the pre-release event of Brahma Anandam on Tuesday night, Chiru said that his home has been turned into a girls' hostel.
"When I see my granddaughters, I feel like I am a warden at a girls' hostel. I often urge Ram Charan to father a male child. I sometimes fear that he might once again father a girl child, though. I want our legacy to continue," the Waltair Veerayya actor said.
Chiranjeevi's comments have been deemed regressive by Netizens. "A superstar like him should have weighed his words carefully. He projected female children as useless and a male child as the only one fit to carry on the Mega legacy," a social media user wrote.
At the same event, Chiranjeevi had a lapse of judgment and broke into a Telugu cuss word, shocking his admirers.
