Producer says Game Changer ruined him financially

It has been suspected all along that Ram Charan's Game Changer had put Sri Venkateswara Creations, owned by Dil Raju and Shirish, in a bad financial situation. Since the film was made on a budget upwards of Rs 400 Cr, the recovery was ill-fated following negative 'word of mouth'.

Today, speaking at the success meet of Sankranthiki Vasthunam (produced by the same banner), producer Shirish said that the Venkatesh-starrer has saved him. He suggested that some people had started deriving perverted happiness from the terrible situation he was in. "Just at that time, Anil Ravipudi's movie came to our rescue. During the making of Sankranthiki Vasthunam, Ravipudi kept predicting that this film would be solving all our financial issues. His prediction turned out to be true," Shirish said.

Shirish also hinted at another occasion when a Ravipudi film uplifted Sri Venkateswara Creations. In 2017, Dil Raju and Shirish incurred heavy losses on Spyder, which they distributed. Raja The Great that year fetched huge profits and covered up the banner's losses (along with Nenu Local, Fidaa and Shatamanam Bhavathi).
